Who says nothing in life is free? Through the help of other frugal bloggers, I have been pleased to find some great free samples online, either on the manufacturer's website or via Facebook. Recently, I enjoyed a free Kashi Dark Chocolate Coconut bar and South Beach S'mores bar. Plus, each sample comes with a coupon so you can buy additional products if the sample is to your liking. I am eagerly awaiting some free Pantene shampoo (through Vocalpoint), a box of Macaroni and Cheese (Thank you Kraft foods!), and some $3 off coupons for DiGiorno pizza (from their FB fan page).

Favorite Things: Money Savvy Pig

My dear friend Meghan has just started using this special piggy bank with her six year old and three year old girls. It provides a clever and appealing way to teach children about money management and the value of giving. Of course, you could use four envelopes or four cardboard boxes too ... but you have to admit -- this piggy is pretty darn cute!

Cheap and Cheerful Challenge: "Save More, Give More, Live More"
I just started following The Frugal Find. Her blog header reads "Save More, Give More, Live More." I love this concept! My challenge for the month of May is to give away some of my net savings to a worthy cause, instead of stuffing it back in my own wallet. Since I've added more coupons to my grocery shopping trips, I've added about $14 per week to my savings at Safeway. At the end of May, I will donate at least $40 to a worthy cause. Maybe this is something you would consider this month?
