5 sweet potatoes, cut into about 1 by 5-inch "fries"
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the sweet potato "fries" on a foil-lined baking sheet and toss with the olive oil. Bake until golden, about 45 minutes.
Meanwhile combine the basil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. In another small bowl combine the mayonnaise, garlic, and lemon juice, and stir to combine.
When the sweet potato fries come out of the oven, sprinkle with the basil salt. Serve with the garlic mayonnaise alongside for dipping
I had been casually dipping my toes in the land of freebies and giveaways; it was fun and I got some great samples but I had yet to win anything. Until ... I won the perfect giveaway on the Chez Ami Facebook fan page. And I do mean perfect -- a monogrammed seersucker sundress, complete with a matching hair bow. If you know me, you know just how perfect this dress will be for my three year old. So, go for it! Enter a contest on Facebook or a drawing on your favorite website. It only takes a minute and you just might win!

I've been looking for a new picnic blanket. Our tiny fleece throw blanket just isn't cutting it anymore. This one looks like a nice option and is 56% off. Just in time for some lazy summer days at the park. I can feel the sun on my face and the feeling of relaxation now.

So many adorable graphics, from flowers to bugs to the solar system. Sturdy construction. Decent prices. Lead free. What else could you want in a lunch box? My son chose this one and my daughter wants this one. Now I just have to find a good hiding place for them until September ... And I might have to surprise them with a "matching" water bottle, too.

My mom and sister found me the coolest bottle cap necklace at Sagrada in Oakland. If you're looking for an East Bay "day trip", shop at Sagrada and grab lunch at Bake Sale Betty's. Trust me on this one! But if you can't make it to Oakland to browse bottle cap necklaces and nibble on brownies, then check out this website. Super selection and a discount offer is running right now if you purchase more than one. After all, it might be kind of difficult to select just one.
